ABSTRACT

The problem we have at hand is expressed as a search for answers to the following questions: Is the post-modern trend towards deconstructive historicism a move to legitimate once and for all the occidental foundations of science, thought, socio-economic power and institutionalism? Is post-modernity anything different from the Eurocentric model of occidental world-system? Hence, has there been anything different in the convergence process or is it simply a re-theorizing of the structuralist, empiricist and epistemological-ontological biases of Western foundation of science, thought, humanity and institutions? What is the premise of conflict and the ultimate contradiction in the scientific and socioeconomic, socio-political ideas of occidentalism?
