ABSTRACT
With the battle of Marj Rahat the disastrous feud between Himyar and Modhar, which had slept for so many years, rekindled in all its fury. The Himyarites were now in the ascendant, and cruelly oppressed their rivals. This continued, more or less, under Merwan's son and successor, Abdul Malik.
