ABSTRACT
Islam with fervour and enthusiasm, and became its ardent champions. While the Arabs were cultivating the arts of peace, tlley devoted themselves to the extension of the power of Islam. The latter half of the eleventh century forms the most glorious epoch of their history. During this period they recognised the over-lordship of one supreme monarch; the feudal vassals were united amongst themselves and faithful to the suzerain.
