ABSTRACT

In fornler tit1leS the choreogral)her and the actordal1cer \vere quite often one and the sanle person. But later, naturally enough, there aPI)cared those \VI10 \vere more skilful in choreography than in actual stage perforInance, and vice versa, so that SUC}l specialization soon began. It is ratl1er interesting to note that the actors or dancers of tile stage never trained others in tIle sanle art. Perhaps this was sinlply because they themselves were too busy ,vith their o\vn art to concertI themselves \~lith others.
