ABSTRACT

An agrarian reform cannot be properly evaluated after so short a period. However, an analysis of the official strategy for the medium-term development of agriculture [MIDINRA, 985] serves to indicate the expected directions the Agrarian Reform will take, and thus permits an evaluation of the degree to which the limitations indicated above could be overcome. This will only reflect, of course, the current intentions of the government; external or internal developments might well force a change of course.
