ABSTRACT
Wars, battles, and campaigns can be won by various types of armed forces, based on different combinations of quantitative and qualitative components. The choice of a particular force posture is determined by many considerations, among which are found historical traditions, political attitudes, military doctrine, economic, industrial and budgetary constraints, and the availability of manpower.
