ABSTRACT
The empirical test run was carried out taking the evaluation of a largescale resource management programme (PGRN) in Mali as an example. The purpose of the test run was to assess feasibility, expense and the informative value of the conclusions that can be drawn with MAPP. During the test run the method was also adjusted to practical needs. The following sections begin by presenting the evaluation design taken as a basis and explaining the survey and evaluation method. The substantive results of the test run are then discussed. The chapter ends with some deliberations on the method and the practical use ofMAPP.
