ABSTRACT

The growing body of literature addressing a variety of issues related to the media-sport relationship in modern society devotes a relatively modest place to the perspective of the people who actually work in the media industry. Arguably it is important for academics interested in media and sport to interact with the people who, in many respects, shape the reality we analyze, in order to gain a better understanding of the professional motivations behind mediated sport. Actually meeting with such people and asking them what they think is an important step towards understanding the past, present and future of this relationship.
