ABSTRACT
Because of the importance to the further theoretical and practical development of distance education that Moore’s interpretation of the interplay of dialogue, structure, and autonomy can have, in this chapter we shall analyse perceptions that may be found behind these three concepts. Using them, academic learning and teaching in distance education is able to articulate itself in various characteristic ways.
