Non-governmental organisations and the welfare of minority ethnic communities in Britain and Germany

Our discussion in this chapter is based on our joint professional experiences of community social work with and for minority ethnic group interests and our many years as tutors in social work education. We draw on our own research studies in the British West Midlands region and in and around Berlin, Germany, as well as on the recently published work of others.
