Gypsies and social work in Sweden

Since the Second World War social authorities in Sweden have been practising social engineering on different Gypsy groups. They have been offered housing, education, economic security, work training and employment of different kinds and through various programmes. The desire to help the Gypsies has been very strong – it is possible to talk about positive discrimination from the social authorities.
