ABSTRACT
There is wide agreement that a school's leadership plays an indispensable role in establishing and developing a strong and effective program (for example, Goodlad, 1975; Rutherford, 1985; Purkey and Smith, 1982). The leadership in most schools is made up of its administrative team, of which the Principal is the key figure. At Five Bridges, the leadership team was comprised of three administrators and the two counselors, who were both formally and informally acknowledged as part of this team by the administrators and the teachers.
