ABSTRACT

You enter the building as the students are heading for lunch. The halls are teeming with boys and girls clad mostly in jeans, tennis shoes and T-shirts. They move through the halls in small groups, talking, laughing; opening and slamming shut their lockers. Occasionally, one or two students in electric wheelchairs drive by. You follow the crowd into the lunchroom.1
