ABSTRACT

Charles Dickens said, "Accidents will occur in the best-regulated families ." Most families have a fair amount of mutual loyalty, love, and obligation; it just sometimes appears that they don't. This is because disagreement often enters the picture . All families do not automatically exhibit love, loyalty, obligation, and agreement. Fam ily members betray one anothers ' values about as much as any other group of people. The fact that family members often differ from one another in tastes, preferences, and value expressions is difficult for some to understand and even harder for many to accept.
