Robert O. Washington, PhD, is the President of Social Policy Research Group, a New Orleans-based public policy organization which specializes in research, social planning and human services delivery systems. He is also Professor of Urban Policy Analysis in the College of Urban and Public Affairs at the University of New Orleans. Dr. Washington has held a number of academic administrative positions. From August 1988 to September 1993, he was Vice Chancellor for Graduate Studies and Research and Dean of the Graduate School at UNO. From 1982 to 1986 he was Dean of the School of Social Work, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was also Dean of the College of Social Work at The Ohio State University, 1976-1982.
