ABSTRACT

The title Organization and Leadership in the Participatory Community (PC) assumes that the characteristics of organization and leadership in communities of this kind differ from those found in other social organizations. This work reflects that assumption; it seeks to show the particular characteristics that these two processes acquire in PCs, through reliance on analysis of the information generated by a case of community participation (CP) in which there is already a history of over 20 years of successful participation in addressing community issues.
