ABSTRACT

Feverfew, a member of the daisy family (Asteraceae), is a bushy, leafy perennial, about 0.3-0.9 m tall with nearly hairless, alternate, deeply lobed leaves. The flowers are borne in open terminal clusters, about 1.9 cm in diameter, with a single row of white rays and a yellow center containing disk flowers. Feverfew, thought to be native to the mountains of the Balkan peninsula, has been cultivated for centuries throughout Europe, and now occurs as a cultivated or escaped plant in eastern North America and Central and South America (Hobbs, 1989; Leung and Foster, 1996).
