ABSTRACT
This chapter will address some of the issues nurses confront in the practice of parish nursing. Barriers from within and from without the faith community will be explored. Challenges associated with interdisciplinary collaboration will also be discussed. Before beginning the discussion of barriers, difficulties, and challenges, the writer will relate her personal journey with parish nursing.
