ABSTRACT
This chapter is not intended to be a discourse on worldviews and religions but does require a little patience for the opening rhetoric in order to make a practical application later on in the discussion. Parish nursing will be discussed in relation to the varied experiences of the nurse, the elements of culture, and how the relationship between faith and health plays out in varying faith groups. The presented narratives from pioneering nurses explicate the variations in practice.
