ABSTRACT

Evaluation is sometimes regarded as a dirty word, especially in faith communities where we regard results and success to be up to God. It is true that we will never know the full results or outcomes of our work. However, it is necessary to have a sense of responsibility for the stewardship of time, money, and of resources and of being accountable for our actions. In order to know if we are on track, we must pause to evaluate these actions. Only then can corrections be made and effectiveness increased.
