ABSTRACT
The casino industry has seen worldwide growth over the past ten years, in part because casino gaming is perceived by law enforcement and the general public as being respectable. Legalized gaming has demonstrated that it can provide revenue to government, create jobs, and act as a catalyst for economic development. In Asia, advocates of casino gaming have used the themes of job creation, increased revenue, and development as the rationale to expand casinos.
