ABSTRACT

In this article the development of research, training and therapy in the field of dissociation and psycho-traumatology in the German language area is summarized. In particular, the report describes the 114possibilities of therapy and training in Germany and Switzerland. As an example, the curricula of the first two training courses are presented which have been a model for the development of general guidelines by the German language Society for Psycho-Traumatology. This training concept also is the base for the projects of training courses in Europe (i.e., Slovakia) and in Asia (i.e., China) by the German and the European Humanitarian Assistance Program (HHP & HAP-Europe).
