ABSTRACT
Most American Jews are of Ashkenazic (Eastern European) descent and, as such, are at risk of being carriers of one or more Jewish genetic diseases. There is a compelling need to educate teens and young adults about these diseases, inheritance patterns, genetic counseling and screening before they have children.
