ABSTRACT

When several test scores are available, on the basis of which a decision is to be made, we have the problem of the appropriate method of combining these scores. When a single total score is to be derived from a number of measures, this score should represent the standing of the candidates with respect to something. The type of judgment involved in determining what this something should be and various methods of combining scores will be considered in this chapter.
