ABSTRACT

Yet another source of critical viewing skills projects and materials are private companies not associated with government, formal education, or national organizations. They include manufacturers and distributors of teaching materials that emphasize audiovisual aids, and national broadcasting corporations that mounted various projects augmenting classroom instruction. USCC's The Media Mirror described in its resource manual 30 audiovisual products produced by 16 companies; multiple listings included seven products by Pyramid Films, four each by Churchill Films and The Learning Seed Company, and three products by Mass Media Ministries.
