ABSTRACT
In 1992/3 an in-depth study of twenty teleworking households in the UK was conducted as part of a longer term project organised by Professor Roger Silverstone and funded by PICT, a programme within one of the British research councils. The aim of that project, based originally at Brunel University and later at Sussex University, was to examine the experience of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the home.
