ABSTRACT

Scholarly papers can derive from any one of a variety of stimuli or a combination of them. The present paper derives from a series of problems which have compelled me to search the material as well as myself. This paper represents a most untraditional approach to a book inordinately precious to me. I found myself resisting the logic of my observations, simply because the conclusion to which I was drawn represents an about-face from my traditional approach to the literature. Nevertheless, the issues are compelling enough to be presented in the arena of notice where my peers can consider my present handling of the array of problems.
