ABSTRACT

Before he left Watertown, Charles had had plenty of time to read and reread the brochure that had arrived with his Playhouse application. The brochure had photographs of the interior and exterior of the building, the patio, administration offices, Main Stage Auditorium, the East and West Balcony Theatres where students performed their productions, the Patio Theatre used for experimental theater, and many photographs of students attending classes. At the back of the main structure, a six-story tower rose that housed rehearsal halls, the wardrobe department, and, at the very top, a snack bar and an open-air roof garden.
