Looking for meaning and function in music we discover many possibilities; for example, dance, games, prayer, meditation, soundtracks, advertisement, poetry and so on. According to the cultural, technical and economical conditions associated with these, the most diverse musical styles have been developed; for instance, Gregorian, mantra, romantic, dodecaphonic, blues, reggae, punk, samba, rap, electrocoustic, etc.
