ABSTRACT
The eight chapters included in this book, together with the introduction, address a question of vital importance to both oil-exporting countries depending on petroleum revenues for their economic well-being and oil companies which explore, develop, refine and market a commodity so essential to our modern lifestyle. The question simply is whether oil has a future as a source of energy.
