ABSTRACT
This chapter is not intended to be an exhaustive description of conservation and conservation techniques. For, although the difficulties encountered in displaying unique and valuable objects are a cause for concern, educational exhibits are directed more at achieving educational aims, and therefore alternative modes of presentation can be as appropriate as the ‘real thing’.
