ABSTRACT
Evaluation is an activity that seeks to assess the worth or merit of things. At the risk of sounding a trifle abstract, it is worth saying at once that the ‘things’ in question could be almost anything whatever. If we so desire, we can evaluate ideas, plans, processes, physical objects, products, parts of products, and so on. In every case, the purpose of evaluation would be to enquire into the worth or merit of these things.
