Development of Capability, DTP and Hypertext Skills Using Learning Contracts

In 1988, under the auspices of the Enterprise in Higher Education initiative, the University of Wolverhampton provided funds for a new type of course designed to allow students to take responsibility for their own learning and at the same time form links with industry through projects. The course itself was made up of five units (modules), was embedded in the University’s Modular Degree scheme and, on successful completion, counted as a Minor in Information Technology.
