ABSTRACT
Many believe that learning is a process of collecting facts about things. To obtain those facts they often teach only the facts, organise the reading of texts, interpret diagrams and make copious notes. However, these activities do not always develop in the learner the reflective skills needed to conceptualise the information to ensure it has become embedded into their own thinking.
