ABSTRACT
This section reports on the findings of a project on truancy undertaken by Her Majesty’s Inspectors in Wales during the summer term of 1997. Inspection visits were made to GEST-funded projects in a selection of schools and centres in nine LEAs. Aspects of this provision were then reported and discussed with the LEA officers and other staff involved.
