ABSTRACT

Academics and professional sport managers need ideal-type model to improve and expand the organizations they manage. The empirical studies from research completed on tennis, rugby, and soccer in the United States (US). Each element of the Model to analyze the current status of the development of these sports and against advancements in other countries. This chapter presents key findings of completed empirical research on US tennis, rugby, and soccer. Standard sampling techniques were used for each sport. Mass participation, elite performance, organization, and financial positions of the three analyzed sports can all be advanced. In addition to children being introduced to rugby by themselves and parents, potential rugby players are attracted from outside the sports participation base. High-performance players are ranked into hierarchical levels/pools with appropriate financial and technical support. They are provided with priority access to specific high quality equipment and facilities. Participation in various sports, as a foundation for rugby development, is encouraged through physical education requirements.
