ABSTRACT

Reputation, along with image, is a component of the attitude people have toward the organization (see Chapter 2 for more on attitude formation and change). Reputation is the set of expectations which the organization’s publics have of its future behavior, and is therefore closely related to the cognitive element of attitude. Organizations with a good reputation are expected to act well: organizations with a bad reputation are expected to behave badly.
