In this treatise I have deﬁ ned, described and critically evaluated higher education in liquid modernity. The following list summarises some of the features and critiques that I have dealt with and may be considered a manifesto of higher education in liquid modernity:
1. Higher education must respond to ontological crises by further fuelling conditions of doubt and uncertainty. Higher education should contribute to an attitude of helplessness toward the possibility of deﬁ nitive knowing.
