ABSTRACT
A review of social work in Sudan requires understanding the history and the present social economic and political situation in the country. Located in the central part of Africa with a population of 43.19 million, Sudan's economy relies on agriculture, textiles, transportation, communication, and utilities. Sudan acquired independence from British colonialism in 1955.
