This chapter will present the nuts and bolts of conducting neurofeed-back training. It will discuss neurofeedback lab design; necessary furniture, equipment and supplies; the importance of the client-neurotherapist relationship; client preparation for training; different general approaches to neurofeedback training; specifi c training protocols; and case examples. It will also explore several procedural considerations necessary to facilitate effective neurotherapy. These include sensor preparation and placement, managing distorted EEG and artifact interference, setting training thresholds for rewards and inhibits, length of training, evaluation of change during training, and the resolution of training problems.
