The concept of resilience applied to the urban world has suddenly materialized recently, containing a host of different meanings, as it stems from various different disciplines: From physics at the very beginning of the 20th century, to ecology and neurosciences, where it has been democratized by Boris Cyrulnik. It undoubtedly corresponds to the need for new approaches to be found and for it to be illustrated by new terms which represent notions of security for societies in the face of fears about a future that is more uncertain than ever.
