ABSTRACT

It has become both a cliche and an understatement to say that we are living in uncertain times and school leaders (like leaders elsewhere) must operate in this context. With regard to the issues raised in this book, they have to make decisions within a context of changing and changeable public perceptions. Clearly, our sexuality is part of our identity. Far less clear is how much of our sexual identity it is proper to reveal to our line managers, our colleagues and our charges.
