ABSTRACT

In the recent period, there have been apparent similarities in the arguments put forward by the advocates of the so-called creative sectors and by the scholars and specialists of economics of innovation. System approaches, learning cities and clusters, innovative milieus, creation and diffusion processes, etc. seem to constitute a new commonly shared vocabulary and conceptual arsenal. This chapter proposes a policy-oriented examination of the possible convergence between the economics of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) and of Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI).
