ABSTRACT

Following the intention of the organisers of the Symposium, the contributions to this volume cover a wide range of topics related to the theme of Strategies in Global Competition. Together, they do not constitute a tightly knit web, but rather a number of niches with certain relations between them. One of the strongest of these, for example, is the prediction of a widening range of collaboration and co-operation between firms in global competition. This final section does not provide a summary of the chapters, but rather, a series of comments by the editors on points which come to mind when reading through the volume, together with some unanswered questions for further research.
