ABSTRACT
The Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) sector is widely recognized as one of the most promising application fields for Augmented Reality (AR), see e.g. (Sareika and Schmalstieg 2007). In a formal study, Shin & Dunston (2008) evaluated 17 classified work tasks in the AEC industry. They concluded that eight of them (layout, excavation, positioning, inspection, coordination, supervision, commenting and strategizing) could potentially benefit from the use of AR.
