Putting the Forest on the Map—Using Documentation to Further Natural Inquiry

I n the forest, children can show us things we adults cannot see. And they can lead us to understandings that will transform our practice. If we observe and listen carefully with our minds and our hearts (Rinaldi, 2011), we can catch glimpses through the lens the child uses in the natural world and fi nd new ways to view the natural world ourselves.
