ABSTRACT
This book has adopted a destination perspective on wellness tourism which is a novel contribution to the still limited scholarly activity on the supply-side of wellness tourism. In the light of wellness tourism being often referred to as one of the fastest growing tourism niches globally, it is important to better understand the way in which wellness tourism destinations develop and the specific drivers of that growth in a particular destination context. By adopting a range of perspectives and discussing many different case examples from around the world, the contributors to this volume have aimed to shed some more light on these emergent issues.
