The relative use of energy in time and in space can also be applied to the bios and rhythm of the whole performance: Meyerhold defined this operation as 'braking the rhythms'. 'Braking the rhythms' is overtly seen in two of Meyerhold's performances: Bubus, the Teacher, in 1925, and The Government Inspector, in 1926.
