ABSTRACT
Whoever grounds suffering in an almighty, alien One who ordains everything has to face the question of the justice of this God — and he must be shattered by it … People who are shattered by this God as experienced as heteronomous, who allows evil as if he were possessed by our baser instincts, are people who think too much of God and too little of themselves.
