ABSTRACT
Before discussing the form and methods employed in industrial training in the German Democratic Republic, I should like to refer to a number of salient facts in the historical, legal and social background. Following the second world war the Nazi education system was abolished in the present GDR and simultaneously the educational goals of the German working class movement were realized.
